Cycling can be an expensive, with cycling classes costing a fortune, accessing and the rising cost of bikes becoming an never ending problem preventing children and young people trying cycling and ultimate unable to feel the benefits of cycling.

Cycling Champion provide a organised, professional and safe community cycling club for children and young people. Don't have access to a bike? No need to worry, as Oldham Inspiring Youth provide bikes to children who don't have access to a bike, we also provide children with helmets and hi-vis to ensure every children in our provision is safe. 

Cycling Champion is funded by the Canal & River Trust and Sports England, and delivered in partnership with Yuvanis Youth to provide children a safe, friendly and pressure-free environment to cycle the funding allows us to take children on bike rides around Oldham and allow children to explore, imagine and learn. We feel cycling should be a skill taught to all and each and every child should have an affordable platform to learn.

Our team have carefully researched and found a route avoiding busy roads and junctions, the aim of Cycling Champion is to promote the benefits of local Canals and Rivers, Cycling Champion is a fantastic way to get children active and allow children to explore local wonders

Removing Barriers to Participation in Sport

We understand the difficulties parents/careers are facing, with the current financial crisis affecting us all, we want to ensure children face no barriers to participating in sport. If you or someone you know is struggling to fund physical activities for your/their child, please get in touch and we'll provide access to Cycling Champion FREE OF CHARGE. This will be confidential.

Age Group, Date and Venue:

• Age Group: Open to Boys and Girls aged between 11+ (Children must be able to ride a bike confidently)
• Time & Date: 10:15 am - 11:30m | Every Sunday (Early drop-off and Late pick-up available upon request)
• Start and End: The Dome Indoor Football, Westwood Industrial Estate, Arkwright Street, OL9 9LZ, Oldham

Going Above and Beyond:

• Bike, Helmets and Hi-Vis is provided by Oldham Inspiring Youth to each participants, however, feel free to bring your bike along.
• Qualified and DBS coaches planning and delivering classes.
• Planned route, avoiding busy roads and junctions.
• Cyclist of the week and month incentive, with fantastic range of prizes to be won.
• Fantastic incentive to promote cycling through local canals and rivers.
• Open to children aged between 12 - 18 years old, children must able to ride a bike or join our 'Bike Club' until they're comfortable.

We're using Pembee, an online booking system to simplify every aspect of booking Oldham Inspiring Youth community clubs. Click on 'Book' and you'll be redirected to a safe and secure booking system, choose to book an introduction session or book and pay for single or multiple community clubs
